These Terms & Conditions apply to the “Not Just An Egg” prize promotion (the “Promotion”) operated by Little Dessert Shop via the standalone promotional website www.notjustanegg.co.uk (the “Website”).

By entering the Promotion, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.

1. PROMOTER

The Promotion is organised and operated by Little Dessert Shop (the “Promoter”).

The Promoter reserves the right to amend, suspend, or cancel the Promotion at any time where reasonably necessary.

2. ELIGIBILITY

2.1 The Promotion is open to UK residents aged 16 years or over at the time of entry.

2.2 Employees of the Promoter, its franchisees, agents, suppliers, or anyone professionally connected with the Promotion, and their immediate families, are not eligible to enter.

2.3 Internet access, a valid email address, and a valid UK phone number are required to participate.

3. PROMOTIONAL PERIOD

3.1 The Promotion will run for a limited time only. Opening and closing dates will be communicated via in‑store materials, the Website, or official Little Dessert Shop channels.

3.2 Entries submitted outside of the Promotion period will not be accepted.

4. HOW TO ENTER

4.1 To enter, customers must:

  • Make an eligible purchase in‑store at a participating Little Dessert Shop location;
  • Receive a promotional leaflet containing a unique ID code;
  • Visit www.notjustanegg.co.uk;
  • Enter the unique ID code as prompted;
  • Complete the required personal details accurately;
  • Participate in the scratch‑to‑reveal mechanic.

4.2 Each unique ID code may only be used once. Duplicate, altered, or fraudulent codes will be deemed invalid.

4.3 No purchase beyond the qualifying in‑store transaction is required to reveal the scratch result.

5. SCRATCH‑TO‑REVEAL MECHANIC

5.1 After valid entry details are submitted, users will be presented with a digital scratch‑to‑reveal feature.

5.2 The scratch‑to‑reveal will randomly display either:

  • An empty egg (non‑winning entry); or
  • An egg containing a winning ticket.

5.3 The outcome is determined automatically and fairly by the Promotion system. No skill is involved.

5.4 The result shown on screen is final and cannot be changed.

6. PRIZES

6.1 Winning entries will display:

  • A winning ticket within the egg;
  • Variable text confirming the specific prize won;
  • A confirmation message advising that the Promoter will be in touch.

6.2 Prizes are subject to availability, non‑transferable, and no cash alternative is available.

6.3 The Promoter reserves the right to substitute a prize with one of equal or greater value if circumstances beyond its control make this unavoidable.

6.4 The number, type, and value of prizes may vary and are determined solely by the Promoter.

7. WINNER VERIFICATION & CONTACT

7.1 Winners will be contacted directly using the email address and/or UK phone number provided at the point of entry.

7.2 It is the entrant’s responsibility to ensure all contact details are accurate and up to date.

7.3 If a winner cannot be contacted within a reasonable period, or fails to respond, the Promoter reserves the right to withdraw the prize.

7.4 Proof of identity and/or proof of purchase may be required before a prize is awarded.

8. DATA PROTECTION & PRIVACY

8.1 Personal data provided will be processed in accordance with UK data protection laws, including the UK GDPR.

8.2 Personal data will be used for:

  • Administering the Promotion;
  • Contacting winners;
  • Fraud prevention and verification.

8.3 Data will not be shared with third parties except where necessary to fulfil the Promotion or as required by law.

9. FRAUD & MISUSE

9.1 The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any entry that:

  • Uses automated, scripted, or fraudulent methods;
  • Tampers with the Website or Promotion mechanics;
  • Breaches these Terms & Conditions.

9.2 Any attempt to deliberately undermine the Promotion may result in disqualification and legal action.

10. WEBSITE & TECHNICAL ISSUES

10.1 The Promoter accepts no responsibility for entries not successfully completed due to:

  • Website downtime;
  • Technical faults;
  • Network, hardware, or software failure;
  • User error.

10.2 The Promoter does not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Website.

11. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

11.1 Nothing in these Terms & Conditions limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any matter that cannot be excluded by law.

11.2 Subject to clause 11.1, the Promoter shall not be liable for any loss, damage, or disappointment arising from participation in the Promotion or acceptance of a prize.

12. GENERAL

12.1 The Promoter’s decision regarding any aspect of the Promotion is final and binding.

12.2 If any part of these Terms & Conditions is deemed invalid, the remaining clauses shall remain in force.

12.3 The Promotion is governed by English law, and the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
